The small details, kept together.

Sumi is a private skin journal for iPhone. One selfie reads six visible skin markers, connects them with your skincare routine, and follows your progress over time.

Questions

The things people ask first.

Is Sumi a medical device?
No. Sumi reads what a photo can show and offers gentle guidance for your own reflection. It does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition. For anything medical, see a dermatologist.
What happens to my photos?
Your full-resolution scan is analysed and then not stored by Sumi. Only a small thumbnail is kept, in private storage tied to your account, and you can delete it at any time.
Do I need a subscription?
Sumi is free to try with a 7-day trial on the annual plan. Sumi Pro unlocks the full scan and routine features, with weekly and annual plans available through the App Store.
How often should I scan?
Once a day is plenty. The same time and the same light give the most comparable reads. Most people settle into a morning or evening check-in.
Why does my score move between scans?
Every read is taken fresh from the photo in front of it, so light and angle matter. That's why Sumi shows the trend across a week rather than asking you to trust a single number.
